Love is not about how many days, months, or years you’ve been together. Love is how much you love each other each every single day.
This past weekend we went to on our annual family Tahoe vacation. But this year was extra special, it was my Grandparent’s 60th wedding anniversary. They renewed their vows while surrounded by love from every single one of their children and grandchildren. As I reflect on the impact and legacy they’ve left on all our lives, I don’t think there was a time I didn’t see love between them. They still look at each other like newlyweds and have that sparkle in their eye.
60 years later, I can honestly say they’re still swaying to the music in their hearts. They’ve endured pain, soaked up joy, and remained tethered to each other as a reflection of God’s love and grace. I’m honored to call them my grandparents and thank them for the beautiful example they’ve set for their children and grandchildren.
