5 Tips Every Bride Needs To Know

When scrolling through Pinterest, every bride sees those amazing, light, and airy wedding day getting ready photos. They are stunning and eye catching, but realistically, the getting ready period on a wedding day isn’t always as magical as one hopes it will be. When the clock is ticking, stress levels are high, and the room looks like a bomb went off in it. But don’t worry! There is still hope for getting those incredible stress free photos of you getting ready for the most wonderful day of your life.

I’ve come up with 5 tips as you prepare for your photographer to come and take getting ready photos. These tips are super helpful to your photographer, but will also transform your photos!

1. Make sure there is natural light in the room where the bride will be getting ready (window light). This makes a WORLD of difference in your images! If there isn’t much window light, designate an area by a window where the bride can get dressed for photos.

2. If possible, try to have all bridal details together before the photographer arrives. Dress, jewelry, shoes, invitation, rings, bouquet, garter, veil, etc. This will make the detail shots more efficient!

3. Keep the area near the ‘getting dressed’ window free of trash, bags, snacks, etc. This will be where the bride will be putting on her dress.

4. Allow more time than you think you need to get ready! It’s better to be safe than rushed.

5. And the most importaint tip of all, RELAX and have FUN! Because you’re getting MARRIED!!
